The Falcon Has Landed Hard Enamel Pin
A spectacular 2" hard enamel pin of the first successful landing of a Falcon 9 booster, B1019, on December 21st 2015. After successfully launching Orbcomm OG2-2, the second stage separated to continue on into orbit and B1019 performed a boost back burn to return to the landing zone at Kennedy Space Center. It successfully performed its landing burn, deploying its legs and touched down, lighting up the darkness as it did. The rocket industry has since been turned on its head since this historic landing! The booster now stands proudly on display outside of the SpaceX headquarters in Hawthorn, CA at the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Jack Northrop Avenue.
